Community Development
Advancing rural regeneration within Strathpeffer & District.
We are a registered Scottish charity (SC000688) and a company limited by guarantee, dedicated to the development and wellbeing of Strathpeffer & District. Originally founded as Strathpeffer Community Association on 12 March 1980, we were renamed as Strathpeffer Community Development Trust Limited in February 2021 to reflect our expanded mission and community development focus.
We operate Strathpeffer Community Centre on School Road — a welcoming hub for education, arts, recreation, and community life — as well as the Station Trading shop at the Old Station, where sustainable goods are sold with profits reinvested into local activities.
Our small but dedicated team of seven staff members, supported by up to fifty volunteers, works closely with local organisations and community groups to ensure that Strathpeffer & District continues to thrive for generations to come.

Strathpeffer Community Centre is the heart of our operations — a welcoming, inclusive space where residents of all ages can come together for education, arts, social activities, and recreation. The Centre is managed by our dedicated staff team and supported by our network of volunteers.
Our Station Trading shop at the Old Station provides a range of sustainably sourced goods to the community. All profits from the shop are reinvested directly into community activities and the ongoing development of our facilities — ensuring that every purchase has a positive impact on Strathpeffer & District.
The Trust Board works in close collaboration with other local groups, statutory bodies, and community organisations to identify needs, secure funding, and deliver projects that genuinely benefit our community. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of governance.
